Tasting - Crane Lake Petite Sirah

Name: Crane Lake Petite Sirah
Region/Country: Lodi, California
Year: 2013
Price: $5.95

Winery Review: This wine is ruby-purple colored; notes of blackberry, plums, and spice predominate the nose and flavors. The tannins give a soft, full mouth feel.

My Review: This wine had a scent of cherries and raspberries mixed with nail polish remover. The touch on the tongue was fairly smooth at first, but there was a punch of bitterness later. I think if the smell of nail polish remover was not as overbearing, I would have liked it more. I would give this wine an 84. I tasted this on its own with no food.
