Tasting - Beringer Smooth Red Blend

Name: Beringer Smooth Red Blend
Region/Country: Napa, California
Year: 2012
Price: $15-- Sale $5.95

Winery Review: A blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petite Sirah. Without a doubt, very smooth and uniquely balanced. Not too dry but not too sweet. Has a foundation of raspberry and blackberry that lingers in the finish. A slight hint of vanilla and some spice when it touches your tongue.

My Review: This wine was very smooth, as it is in the name. There was a very deep fruity flavor, such as red cherry and various types of berries. It was very mysterious in a way with different spice flavors, which were hard to name. It gave a unique flavor to the mouth, along with a cherry-like taste. I think the blend of a variety of wines helped in smoothing out the tannins. I would give this wine an 87. I tasted this on its own with no food.
